If you have a group of 6 or more Whenua Iti Outdoors (WIO) can tailor a programme to help you achieve your Adventurous Journey or Gold Residential components of the Award, while adventuring in our local national parks and their surrounds, such as the beautiful Kahurangi or Abel Tasman National Parks.
Plan your Journey
You get to be involved in planning your journey with us and choose from a range of activity options that are available, lead by our qualified and experienced instructors.
Activities to Choose From
Activities may include rock climbing, caving, mountain biking, cooking in the outdoors, sea kayaking, bush survival, bush skills and navigation, with a plan for different options to suit the season and weather for your journey. If you choose to complete the Kakariki Journey, so that your Award has an environmental focus, we can help design a Gold Residential Project that contributes to local community conservation initiatives. We provide all transport (from WIO), activities, outdoor gear and qualified instructors. Check out our Outcomes & Activities page to get an idea of the possibilities.
