About Aotearoa New Zealand

Aotearoa New Zealand offers a unique and safe platform for authentic and engaging experiential learning programs.

In New Zealand you will find more than the stunning scenery we are famous for. Here there is a unique political and economic landscape, a rich relationship with tangata whenua (the indigenous people of this land) and open-minded thinking. Our response to Covid19 shone a light on our leadership and with it the acknowledgement than in this land, people come first.

Let your students immerse themselves, learn and expand their horizons in a country and culture of fascinating stories, captivating experiences, and legendary landscapes.

Wide Open Spaces

With a country of just 5 million people, a coastline that stretches about 15 000 km (9 300mi) and almost 80% of our land area uninhabited - there's a lot of space to explore! Walk stretches of golden sand beaches in solitude, get lost in the expanse of the night sky and stand on a peak with 360 degree views.

Safe & Peaceful

We're rated in global surveys as one of the world's most peaceful, least corrupt countries - in fact 2nd in the world according to the Global Peace Index. Our response to Covid-19 showed that we put people first - care for our people and our land is at the heart of all New Zealanders.

A Place of Open Minds

We are a young country, one of the last in the world to be settled, and with it comes a youthful enthusiasm for embracing new ideas, new technology, new approaches and fresh thinking. With our open minds, and open hearts, we celebrate our Māori indigenous culture and continue to learn from one another.
