First Aid Courses

First Aid skills are key life and work skills that are transferable across a range of career pathways.

Whenua Iti Outdoors provides a range of First Aid courses for secondary school students to suit varying needs. The courses include NCEA assessments and are particularly suitable for students enrolled on the Gateway programme or any work-place related option. 

A current First Aid qualification can be a pre-employment and tertiary training requirement.

Course Outline & Assessments:

Course outline including academic learning objectives – First Aid Course

6402 – Provide basic life support (Level 1 | 1 credit)

6401 – Provide first aid (Level 2 | 1 credit)

6400 – Manage first aid in an emergency situation (Level 3 | 2 credits)

424 – Assess and manage an emergency care situation during an outdoor activity (Level 3 | 5 credits)

Group booking required with a minimum of 6 participants.
