Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom (LEOTC)

As a well-established provider of Experiential Learning we offer quality learning in a challenging, yet safe, education setting. Tamariki get to work together as a team, develop their confidence and learn new skills through a wide range of adventure, cultural and environmental activities.

Our LEOTC courses have been specifically designed to align with the New Zealand Curriculum and associated Key Competencies. Each course has been developed in consultation with teachers, and is endorsed by the Ministry of Education (MOE).

Our experienced educators adjust the level of learning and degree of responsibility given to students for each course. We encourage teachers to work with us in the design process, to provide course learning objectives allowing alignment to be created with classroom and group learning goals.

We ask teachers to accompany students as part of their experience. This not only assists with group management, it ensures learning aligns with classroom teaching and has the benefit of giving teachers the opportunity to build rapport and strengthen their relationships with students in an environment outside of the classroom.

To maximise students learning opportunities an LEOTC course can be built into your school camp. Check out our Primary School Camp page for more information.
